Plymouth Hoe is famous for many things, but visitors today can't miss the large red and white lighthouse that sits on the green. The lighthouse is called Smeaton's Tower and is the upper portion of John Smeaton's Eddystone Lighthouse.  It was originally built in 1759 on the Eddystone Rocks, located 14 miles to the south in the English Channel. It was dismantled in 1877 and moved, stone by stone, to the Hoe where it was re-built, and has stood there ever since. This striking print is done in a 'cut-out' travel poster style and features a couple of Royal Navy ships in the background.
